Heaven Is Now, and we are invited to participate

Our mission is to love our neighbors on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Jesus came to re-establish the reign and rule of the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. Jesus’ mission was to restore our broken earth and humanity to unity with God. Jesus not only proclaimed the presence of The Kingdom of Heaven on earth, he demonstrated it!

When people were hungry, he fed them. When people were sick, he healed them. When people were marginalized, he gave them a place to belong. Because of Jesus, heaven is here! And we, as his followers, are invited to participate in the Kingdom of Heaven now by proclaiming and demonstrating that heaven has come, just as Jesus did!

When Jesus returns, we will see the fullness of the Kingdom of God and earth will once again be restored to the perfection of heaven. But along the journey, each one of us is invited to participate in the restoration and redemption of the whole world by loving our neighbors on Earth as it is in Heaven. 

How do we do this?

Participating in the mission of God might feel overwhelming.  We have created tangible steps, habits, and rhythms that Clarksburg Church calls our “Rule of Life.” The Rule of Life enables ordinary people to announce and demonstrate the reign of God through Christ in the places they rest, work, and play.
